Catch us in the Fourth of July parade in Chanhassen, MN. If you miss us in St. Peter, it’s a great chance to see us perform closer to the Twin Cities.

Catch us in the Fourth of July parade in St. Peter. Then head to Minnesota Square Park for the Old Fashioned Fourth of July celebration, where we will be performing a concert immediately following the parade. It’s a great chance to see us up-close and personal, right in our home town of St. Peter.

Musikkapelle Obermarkersdorf — a parade and concert band from Obermarkersdorf, Austria — will be performing a concert in Minnesota Square Park on Thursday, July 3. There will be time to meet the musicians from 6 to 7 pm, and then the concert will begin at 7 until approximately 8 pm. Bring your own chairs, snacks, and beverages. This event is free to all. The Govenaires have traveled to Austria twice to perform with Musikkapelle Obermarkersdorf, and are looking forward to hosting their visit here this July.

Because this is a “welcome” performance for our friends from Austria — Musikkapelle Obermarkersdorf — the performance time will be variable to change based on their arrival. Tentative time around 5:30pm.

This Memorial Day, the Govenaires will once again participate in St. Peter’s Memorial Day Observance ceremony, honoring the military men and women who gave their lives in service to their country.
