The Govenaires finished the 2015 season as the top group in the Drum Corps Associates (DCA) Class A division.
With a score of 82.45, the corps finished with highest honors in visual, color guard, brass, and music. Finishing second was Alliance from Atlanta with a score of 80.38, followed by the Kilties from Racine, Wisconsin with 74.28, and Cincinnati Tradition with 73.65.
This is the fourth championship finish in DCA by the St. Peter-based corps, which also earned Class A titles in 2006, 2009, and 2011. The final performances of the 2015 production, entitled “Outlaw,” drew praise from fans and judges alike.
DCA championships were hosted in Rochester, New York at Sahlen's Stadium. Groups from the United States and Great Britain competed throughout three days of shows. Congratulations to all corps and ensembles that performed, especially fellow Minnesota groups Chops Inc. and Minnesota Brass.
This amazing season could not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of the members, design staff, instructors, administrators, support staff, volunteers, parents, fans, and alumni. Thank you to everyone who helped us on this extraordinary journey.
Stay tuned for more updates as we work our way toward 2016
